Our Mission:
Ethical and cultural values are amongst the most important assets that we can preserve and pass along to the next generation. It is only with "Unity and Communication" that we can grow and develop our community to ensure elder and younger generation will be spiritually and culturally enlightened to face the challenges of the future.
Our Activities:
Matiya World (MW) is hosting their third convention, on July 22nd - 24th, 2011 in Orlando Florida. The theme of this year’s event is “GIVING BACK” by helping our youth become good leaders and better citizens in their communities and make positive contribution to our society and the opportunity to share the tremendous wealth of knowledge, expertise and talent among Matiya’s. Members will take part in many events in these three days, magically showcasing the different talents among our youth and seniors. The events will be an extravaganza of our Culture and Cuisine.
More than 1200 people from all over the world will attend the event.
Matiya World is organized exclusively for charitable, cultural, social, educational and most of all preservation of our heritage. Its objectives are established to meet the needs of our members and the community we live in; to organize and conduct charitable, cultural, social and educational activities within the community.
Our organization has donated proceeds and time to events such as Habitat for Humanity (“GIVING BACK” summer 2010, San Antonio, Texas) and participated in other noble causes. Our members are doctors, accountants, lawyers, engineers, professors, insurance brokers, bankers, business owners, other professionals, students and their families volunteering in events such as Matiya World Professional Panel, (“GIVING BACK” summer 2009, Dallas Texas) advising the youth in our community and providing a vision of what it takes to be successful and accomplish their dreams. “Giving Back” by creating a Scholarship Fund for students pursuing higher education.

The success of this event is credited largely to our sponsors, who lend their names and financial support to the event. This year’s goal is to raise $200,000 dollars.
